The aim of the game is to build 3, 4, or 5 letter words across the crossword grid. Start with Game 1 Grid. Play begins when the game organiser calls out random single letters, and the players write the letter in any square on Game 1 grid. Players don't have to use all letters called out. An amazingly simple game that kids just love to play.
Variation: Older players might like to try a harder version - where you make words that can be read both across and down the grid.
Hint for the organiser: Try to make every third letter a vowel ('a','e','i','o' and 'u' or the letter 'y').
