Daintree Village is the gateway to the inland section of Daintree National Park, with its World Heritage listed rainforest. There are a huge numbers of ways to explore this wild and beautiful place: self-guided or guided walks, 4WD safaris, Aboriginal tours, boat tours or even on horseback.
There is an incredible variety of wildlife to be seen - from saltwater crocodiles to birds, butterflies and mammals. Deep in the rainforest lies the renowned and extraordinary open-air theatre, Karnak Playhouse. Across the Daintree Ferry lies the Cape Tribulation
section of the national park.
In the village itself you won't be able to miss the Big Barramundi
- testament to "the one that got away"!
