As you drive north toward Manly over the famous Spit Bridge, about 10km north of Sydney’s CBD, glance left and the delightful homes you’ll see looking over Middle Harbour are in the upmarket suburb of Seaforth.
From Bluff Point, there are stunning views over the inner part of Sydney Harbour and the millions of dollars worth of boats tethered at the marinas around Spit Bridge.
There are a couple of great little restaurants on the southern side of the bridge, and to the north-west of Seaforth is the extensive Manly Warringah War Memorial Park and the old Manly Reservoir.
Down the road at Manly you’ll find one of the world’s great aquariums. Oceanworld Manly was completely rebuilt and redesigned in 1992 and has since won many national and international awards for customer excellence. Oceanworld Manly has three levels. The main aquarium is on the lower level and features sharks and stingrays in a walk-through 110m-long acrylic tunnel.
