Beenleigh lies to the north of the Gold Coast. The Historical Village boasts more than twenty of the area’s oldest buildings including public buildings and period houses.

Springbrook lies behind the Gold Coast in the hinterland. It’s a great place for a day out, and what better way to finish than with a trip to the Observatory. View the stars and planets, weather permitting. Entry is free for children although adult donations are encouraged.

•   Currumbin Sanctuary
A highlight of your Gold Coast visit will be to witness the twice-daily feeding of the wild lorikeets at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, when flocks of these brightly coloured birds arrive to be fed. In this well-established sanctuary, there are native animals in natural habitats, as well as entertaining and educational shows including the free-flight bird show, the crocodile show and the snake show.

•   Gold Coast Arts Centre
Visit the Gold Coast Arts Centre in Bundall for art exhibitions, theatre and dance performances and the Evandale Sculpture Walk, a fascinating walk among the sculptures in the surrounding parklands.

•   The Casino
Visit Conrad Jupiters, the Gold Coast’s casino. Whether you enjoy a flutter or not, there’s plenty to do and see, with gaming machines, gaming tables, restaurants, bars and live entertainment.
