Casuarina Coastal Reserve
|
| Casuarina Coastal Reserve features white sandy beaches together with mangroves and monsoon vines. There is a registered Aboriginal Sacred Site, Old Man Rock. |
Howard Springs Nature Park

| Howard Springs Nature Park features monsoon rainforest, a spring fed swimming hole, abundant bird life, short walks, picnic facilities and a kiosk. |
Berry Springs

Territory Wildlife Park

| Also at Berry Springs is the Territory Wildlife Park, where the exhibits are connected by a 4 kilometre walk or train ride. The nocturnal house and aviary are particularly noteworthy. |
Litchfield National Park

| Litchfield National Park features four waterfalls, including the best known, Wangi Falls. They cascade down from the escarpment, and at their foot is a rainforest habitat around safe swimming pools. Camping is permitted and boat tours of the river are available. |
Fogg Dam

| Fogg Dam was built for the fledgling rice growing industry, but is now a haven for wildlife. The best time for viewing is at dusk or dawn. |
Window on the Wetlands Visitor Centre

| The Window on the Wetlands Visitor Centre and Marrakai Conservation Reserve offer extensive views of the surrounding wetlands. There is also an exhibit on the wetlands and their conservation. |
Adelaide River

| Take a boat tour of the Adelaide River. This is an excellent way to view crocodiles in the wild, as well as appreciate the dramatic scenery of the Adelaide River. Try the amazing Jumping Crocodile tour. |
Mary River Wetlands

| Mary River Wetlands is noted for its bird life. There is a network of unsealed roads, some of which may need a 4WD, and which are occasionally impassable in the wet season. |
Kakadu National Park

| Kakadu National Park is leased by the traditional owners to Parks Australia. There are walks and boat cruises, and you can see Aboriginal rock art, as well as the rugged Arnhem Land escarpment. |
