East Point Military Museum
|
| The East Point Military Museum was opened in 1969 as an artillery museum, established by the Royal Australian Artillery Association. Located in an old war bunker, it was Darwin`s first museum. Exhibitions include artillery, various armoured vehicles, Japanese weapons, history of the Japanese bombing of Darwin. It also houses part of the Territory Arms and Armament Collection. |
The Tree of Knowledge

| The Tree of Knowledge is of social and historical importance, and it is valued for its associations with many phases in Darwin`s development. In the 1970s the community successfully campaigned to save the tree and have it incorporated into the Darwin Civic Centre Complex. |
Deckchair Cinema

| This Darwin delight is located behind the old Stokes Hill power station. Sit back and relax under the stars and enjoy a movie in the open air. The Deckchair Cinema operates from May to October, during the dry season. |
Australian Aviation Heritage Centre

| The Australian Aviation Heritage Centre features a B52 bomber as well as a Zero fighter shot down over Darwin in World War II, plus other exhibits of aviation history. |
Browns Mart

| The historic Browns Mart, built in 1885, is now a community arts centre and a small well-patronised theatre. It is on the heritage list and preserved as a place of interest. |
Chinese Temple

| The Chinese Temple represents an early link between the Top End and China. The local Buddhists, Taoists, and Confucianists still worship there. It is an interesting example of the rich racial mixture of Darwin. Visitors are welcome, however you are asked to refrain from entering the temple if people are worshipping. |

Christchurch Cathedral
